WWN Decoder
Hardware vendors use format "5" for World Wide Names on their storage products. This means the WWN is generated from the vendor UID and port specific information. With a little work, it is possible to decode and encode storage WWNs to discover the port to which they relate and the serial number of the disk subsystem. This page provides (without guarantees of accuracy) the option to decode WWNs for EMC and HDS storage arrays. Enter your details in the appropriate fields and click "decode" and you will receive the required results.
